I just want to express how thankful I am for your support and how overwhelmed I am by the amount of people who have liked my Facebook Fanpage since I opened it in January 2015. This week we have passed 16,000 likes and each and every single one of you matters to me. I also appreciate those of you who comment, like, share and tag my posts on my Fanpage. As a Dance Teacher, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the good people I’ve met through my profession. From Beginners to Seasoned Dancers, I love meeting people at my classes and at dancing events.
2016 has been a very adventurous year for me and we are only just into September. The longer nights means that people are looking for pastimes to keep themselves entertained for the winter months. Thankfully for Dance Teachers like me, taking up dancing is a hobby many people love to do. It’s a very exciting time of the year as I get to see new faces as well as my old acquaintances and when we are all together it’s great fun.
In March of this year, I was struck with news that no person wants to hear. I was diagnosed with a T3 tumour on my right kidney and was told I had cancer. It was tough news to take at the time as you can imagine, but after the initial shock of being told, I decided to soldier on and let the Professionals deal with it. I posted a video at the time to my Facebook Fanpage to explain my illness and from doing that I felt a huge burden lifted off my mind. A problem shared is a problem halved, but a problem shared with thousands of people is a problem almost diminished. I will never forget the level of support from thousands of you on my Facebook Fanpage. Thankfully an operation to remove my right kidney and the tumour was successful and so far so good. I’m cancer free.
As this is my second blog and I’m very new to this, I’m going to keep this short. I want to thank you all again for your wonderful support through both my bad times and my good times. To help celebrate passing 16,000 likes on my Facebook Fanpage, I’m going to be giving away a prize for:
- Dinner for 2 people in the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa in Loughrea and
- Private dance lessons for the lucky couple
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to:
- Like my Facebook Fanpage and
- Like this post on Facebook and
- Share this post on Facebook
The lucky winner will be announced at the end of September. Health, happiness and love to you all.

Thanks Anna. It would probably be 2017 before I can get to Galway City, but if there is any changes around that I’ll post it here on my website. Thanks again for your support.
Great to see your so well , would love to win a private dance lesson , as we live in county monaghan and too far to travel to your class
just a query would you br interesting in doing classes in Killashee Co Longford
Hi Caroline, thanks for your query. I already have a class in Co Longford in Edgeworthstown on a Tuesday evening so it would be difficult for me to hold a second class there. Hopefully I will get to other areas in Longford in future.
Can you tell me if you have classes in Dundalk or anywhere in Louth?
Hi Jane, unfortunately I don’t have classes in your area I’m afraid, but thanks very much for your enquiry.
